The Sun Devil Athletics (SDA) programs are elite, high-profile

Job Description:
The Manager of Creative Media for ASU Women's Basketball will lead
the development and execution of innovative visual content
strategies to elevate the program's brand. The role will report
directly to the Sr. Director of Brand and Creative Strategy for ASU
and Sun Devil Athletics, and this role focuses on creating engaging
multimedia content to support recruiting efforts, enhance fan
engagement, and promote the team's culture across various
platforms.
Essential Duties:
Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and implement a comprehensive
content plan, including video, photography, and graphics, to
showcase the team's brand and values.
Social Media Management: Oversee the program's social media
channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content that aligns with
the team's voice and objectives.
Recruiting Support: Produce compelling visual materials to aid in
recruiting top talent, highlighting the program's strengths and
culture.
Collaboration: Work closely with coaching staff, student-athletes,
and the athletic department's marketing and communications teams to
ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
Event Coverage: Provide real-time content during games, practices,
and special events, capturing behind-the-scenes moments and
highlights.
Brand Positioning within ASU Sun Devil Athletics: Maintain and
evolve the visual identity of ASU Women's Basketball, ensuring
consistency across all media and aligned with ASU and Sun Devil
Athletics.
Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about emerging trends in digital
media and collegiate athletics to keep the program's content fresh
and relevant.
Management of student creative assistants/staff may be required
Other duties, as assigned, during seasonal down times
Desired Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a creative media role,
preferably within collegiate athletics.
Must have intimate knowledge of professional video production. This
includes expert knowledge of high-end digital video and still photo
acquisition (DSLR, 4K, high frame rate, etc).
Expert knowledge of planning and execution of video and photo
shoots (lighting, framing, audio acquisition).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,
Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and other relevant
multimedia production tools.
Creative Vision: Strong storytelling abilities with a keen eye for
design and detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as
required by the athletic schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Division I athletics environment.
Familiarity with NCAA compliance and regulations related to media
content.
Demonstrated success in growing social media engagement and brand
presence.
Working Environment:
Activities are performed remotely or in an environmentally
controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting,
keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate
distances to perform work.
Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25
pounds and regular activities require ability to quickly change
priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of
conflicts.
Evidence of good communication.
May supervise student workers.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year; DOE
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to
the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of
experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills
and abilities have been achieved.
