Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Job Scope Manages a segment of a program or a function. This position will be a full time 2nd Shift Position. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies. Program Manager responsibilities include: planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract. Guidance Given, Assignments Received Assignments are received in objective oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives. Knowledge and Technical Skills Competence is required in a specialized or technological field. Full working knowledge of procedures and practices. Decision Making Relates more to specific job function. Risk to the Corporation is minimal. Makes decisions that support accomplishment of discipline objective. Direct Work Involvement Oversees projects and task assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt and/or exempt employees. Becomes involved only when required to assist in meeting schedules or to resolve technical or operational problems. May accomplish results through lower level supervisor or exempt employees. Policy Involvement Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own department. Policy management: Interprets and executes policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies. Financial Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget Strategic Responsibility, Supervisory Relationships Accomplishes results through lower-level subordinate supervisors or through experienced exempt employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. Often head a centralized functional activity. Operations Involvement / Direct Work Involvement Functions as an advisor to unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems. Impact Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments would normally result in serious delays to assigned projects resulting in considerable expenditure of additional time, human resources and funds. Liaison Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal external representatives concerning specifics operations Basic Qualifications: ---A Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering, or STEM discipline with a minimum of 9 years of overall experience --- 3 - 6 years of management/leadership experience in an environmental test or production position.---Must have demonstrated management/leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced environment.--- US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance--- Ability to establish schedules and workflows with the capability to manage and schedule quickly changing priorities--- Excellent written and oral communications skills and technical presentation experiencePreferred Qualifications: --- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP/SAR access--- Demonstrated expertise in ERP, Continuous Improvement, Lean or Agile manufacturing methodologies--- Spaceflight hardware Integration or Test Experience Salary Range: $120,000 USD - $160,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
