Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Space Vehicle Chief Engineer (CE) to serve as the technical leader for a Tactical Space Systems (TSD) National Security Systems (NSS) program. The Chief Engineer (CE) will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting the design, development, Integration, test, launch and mission operations of a Space Vehicle. The CE has technical oversight for the program.The Chief Engineer is responsible for the technical direction and execution of all aspects of engineering on a program including design, development, implementation, integration, testing, and delivery of product to the customer. The Chief Engineer is the technical leader for the program engineering team, and also serves as technical advisor to the program manager. The Chief Engineer is typically the primary technical point-of-contact to the customer. The Chief Engineer coordinates across the program's Systems Engineering team and other engineering teams. The Chief Engineer ensures that all engineering teams adhere to sound engineering processes, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.This position is located in Gilbert, AZBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline20+ Years with Bachelors in Science; 18+ Years with Masters; 15+ Years with PhDExperience leading multi-disciplinary technical teamsExperience in systems development, integration, and testAbility to effectively interface with program leadership, functional management, customers, and technical subject matter expertsMust have US Citizenship with active or current TS/SCI ClearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree or PhD in STEM or technical managementDomain expertise spacecraft and space systems# AZSpaceSalary Range: $171,400 USD - $207,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
