Grumman SSSD has an opening for a Manager Systems Engineering 3 -
SE Expansion Department Manager to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals. This position will be located in Gilbert, AZ.
The Functional Department Manager will lead a group of 20+
engineers responsible for System Engineering activities across all
System Engineering sub-disciplines. This includes requirements
development, modeling and simulation, space vehicle design,
specialty engineering, interface definition and verification
planning and execution for complex systems for space programs
across the sector. The SE Expansion Department Manager will be the
main process focal point for SE processes at the Gilbert site
location. The successful candidate will be responsible for
providing leadership and direction to the SE Expansion department
ensuring department members have sufficient statement of work,
managing employee performance, coordinating with programs to ensure
appropriate staff actions are developed and executed, and ensuring
department employees are familiar with and use required engineering
processes and tools. Responsibilities also include day-to-day
operation of the functional organization such as balancing of
resources among programs and resolving critical/urgent program
issues. The SE Expansion Department Manager will also be required
to unify System Engineering process and tools across the Gilbert
site location and to support program stand-ups, technical reviews,
deep dives, and NAR/ICE activities. In addition, the SE Expansion
Department Manager will be responsible for helping to establish and
grow SSSD System Engineering at the Gilbert site. To learn more

Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution and 9+
years of experience in Systems Engineering (7+ with a MS, 5+ with a
PhD) - Prior experience as a manager or team lead - Currently
possess an Active SCI clearance Preferred Qualifications: -
Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- Project experience in System Engineering - Experience in
functional management - Active TS and SSBI clearance - Excellent
interpersonal skills - Aptitude to develop and execute to a
strategy - Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and
written communication skills " Salary Range: $147,700 USD -
$221,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
