Quality Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the
Quality Engineer team across all areas of manufacturing,
integration and test across the site. This leader will be
responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the health
and quality of products and services provided by the team. The
qualified candidate must have demonstrated success leading teams
and have unwavering ethics and values. The candidate must have
strong communication skills, be effective working across functional
teams and be able to integrate, engage and lead a team of engineers
to perform at a top level.The ideal candidate will have knowledge
of end-to-end manufacturing, integration and test of
satellites.Roles and Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day
activities of the quality engineers.Help engineers resolve issues
that arise during the execution of their tasks.Monitor data and
assist team in creating meaningful metrics.Work with Quality
Managers to properly coordinate resource allocation to ensure
Program needs are met.Manage team members clearance requirements
based on assignments.Maintain oversight for review and approval of
applicable procedures and process specifications related to the
manufacturing, integration and test of satellites.Ensure throughput
of team is maximized without sacrificing reliability of the
product.Work with functional management to ensure budgets are
appropriately established and maintained.Encourage and support the
Quality Inspection team in review and execution of inspection
processes.Drive process improvement ideas to implementation
phase.Ensure team has the necessary Standard Practice training and
OJT to perform their job functions efficiently and
reliably.Actively support quality engineering efforts to maintain
program schedules.Ensure quality engineering program files are
updated and maintained appropriately to meet program
milestones.Monitor non-conformance data to ensure defect
containment and drive RCCA to reduce the cost-of-poor-quality.Basic
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (Equivalent work experience may be
considered in lieu of a degree)Minimum of 6 years of experience as
a member of Quality/Flight Assurance team (in technical function)
or previous experience supervising/leading team of employees in
technical job function.U.S. citizenAbility to obtain Top Secret
/SCI clearance.Able to read and inspect to engineering
documentation.Proficient in use of Microsoft applications (Word and
Excel) and willingness to learn new computer
programs/applications.Technical writing skills.Preferred
Qualifications:Active Top Secret/SCI clearanceWorking knowledge of
TIPQAWorking knowledge of Costpoint and Costpoint MESWorking
knowledge of WindchillKnowledge in how to read electrical
schematics and wire listsKnowledge base in Lean Manufacturing
Principles and/or Six Sigma PrinciplesPrevious experience managing
budgets and personnel allocation for company or teamSalary Range:
$87,000 USD - $121,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
