Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal
Government Accountant to join our team of qualified, diverse
individuals. This position will be located in Dulles VA or Gilbert,
AZ and support the Tactical Space Systems Division.The primary
function of the Sr Principal Government Accountant is to assist in
liaison activities be-tween NGSP TSS Division and Governmental
Agencies (DCAA, DCMA, DOI, etc.) and to support other
internal/external audits as needed. This includes the facilitation,
data gathering, review, and coordination of audit activities,
RFI's, special requests/projects. The position will assist in
supporting activities such as incurred cost submissions
preparation, disclosure statements, cost impact studies, FAR/CAS
interpretations, Mandatory Annual Audit Requirements (MAAR), floor
checks, internal controls, or other assignments as needed. Assists
in implementing policies and procedures to ensure that these are
following the FAR/CAS appropriate statutes, regulations and that
regulatory reporting requirements are met. Assists with
investigation and resolution of compliance problems, questions, or
complaints received from other units of the company, customers,
government regulatory agencies, etc. May develop and implement
programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of
compliance policies. May audit and evaluate current policies,
procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws
and regulations.Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, the following:Applies and analyzes accounting
principles on contracts, costs, processes, practices, and
procedures with Federal Acquisition Regulations - FAR - and Cost
Accounting Standards - CAS - interpretations.Ensures continued
approved status of major business processes and systems required to
do business with US Government.Interacts with federal regulatory
agencies and internal personnel while investigating and resolving
US and foreign government procurement regulatory compliance issues.
Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management.May
negotiate rate agreements, provide government regulatory accounting
training to company personnel and evaluate company practices for
compliance to regulations.Primary Liaison to Governmental Agencies
(DCAA/DCMA) and works directly with Governmental/NGSP Internal
Audit auditors and internal staff to accurately, professionally,
and timely respond to audits, RFI's, Business Systems Reviews,
ad-hoc requests, and special projects.Tracks and documents all
requests and work assignments.Facilitates resolutions to concerns
from external and internal clients/auditors.Prepares the annual
Incurred Cost Submission.May prepare and support Disclosure
Statements.May prepare and support Cost Impact Studies.Uses
internal tools to support job duties; includes the use of reporting
tools in data calls.Will continually demonstrate knowledge of
relevant FAR and CAS rules/regulations to assist in assignments.May
assist and support final rate/cost negotiations, quick closeouts,
or other duties as required.May identify and recommend to
management areas for business/process improvement, compliance, or
concerns regarding company polices/procedures.Will support ad-hoc

schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through
Thursday to take every other Friday offBasic
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience
in regulatory compliance analysis, accounting, finance, billing,
contracts, or a related discipline - OR - a Master's degree with 7+
years of related professional experience. An additional four years'
experience accepted in lieu of a degree.Experience working with
DCAA auditors and advanced understanding of the Defense Contract
Audit Manual (DCAM)Knowledge of U.S. Government regulations,
including Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), TINA and FARProficient
in Microsoft Office suite, with added emphasis on Excel and
PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency with
CostpointProficient in Microsoft Office suite, with added emphasis
on Excel and PowerPointAerospace/Defense industry experience in
business management functions including indirect rates, accounting,
and/or billingExperience with U.S. Government regulations including
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards
(CAS)Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities and
deadlines in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with a proven

position can also be worked from Gilbert, AZ, AZ, USA.Salary Range:
$92,400 USD - $160,600 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
