Care Coordinator, we are often the first point of contact for our
patients and their families. As such we value representing an

insurance and demographic information in a timely manner, this
enable us to provide high quality, compassionate health care
service to all who need them, regardless of their ability to pay.
Positions may be available in the following areas: Emergency Room,
Operating Room, Outpatient, Infusion, Maternal Child and Transplant
Services.Shifts will be based on the specific department. Employees
are required to work any typical 8 to 10-hour shift and start
anywhere between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM on any day of the week
including the flexibility to work nights, overnights, weekends, and
holidays which could vary based on business need and additional
information will be provided during the interview process. This is
an onsite position at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. This position
will be at our office located at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center
(MGMC), 3555 S VAL VISTA DR, GILBERT, AZ, 85297. We offer 3 weeks
of paid training.Both locations offer shift differentials for
afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends as well as on call pay.
We have an onsite cafeteria and gift shop with employee discounts
as well as an onsite Starbucks and free parking. Performance based
bonuses are also available.Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicates directly with patients and / or families either in
person or on the phone to complete the registration process by
collecting patient demographics, health information, and verifying
insurance eligibility / benefits
- Responds to patient and caregivers' inquiries related to
routine and sensitive topics always in a compassionate and
respectful manner
- Organizes and schedules patient services and appointments for
referrals or follow - ups ensuring proper information is forwarded
to practitioners
- Utilizes computer systems to enter, access or verify patient
data in real - time ensuring accuracy and completeness of
information
- Generates, reviews and analyzes patient data reports and
follows up on issues and inconsistencies as necessaryYou'll be

you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a
healthcare environment
- Understanding of insurance policies and procedures as well as
charity care programs payment assistance programs
- Experience in requesting and processing financial payments and
the ability to perform basic calculations for payment
- Ability to work onsite at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center
- Ability to work any 8 to 10-hour shifts that start anywhere
between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM on any day of the week including the
flexibility to work nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
which could vary based on business need and additional information
will be provided during the interview process
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this

- 1+ years of Registration experience in a hospital OR medical
setting
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and
