Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon to join their team! Group provides a full spectrum of surgical procedures, including laparoscopy, breast biopsy, tumor removal, thyroid, colonoscopies, endoscopies, pulmonology, dermatology, audiology, nephrology, and more. Facility Information: For over 100 years, the Medical Center has been providing health services to Globe-Miami and surrounding communities. With a recently completely expansion and renovation, it provides state of the art technology and care, with a comfort and modern feel throughout the 25 bed facility, 4 bed ICU and throughout all departments. The region served by the Medical Center is a 65 mile radius which includes the towns and cities of Globe, Miami, Claypool, San Carlos, Superior, Kearny, Hayden, Winkleman, Tonto Basin, Roosevelt, and Young. Services include OB, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, a very active Cardiac Cath Lab, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology, in house Renal Dialysis, an extensive wound clinic with 2 hyperbaric chambers, and a level 4 contracted ED. Our Hospitalist service is also contracted and available 24/7. Hospital is in a medically underserved rural area. We are a Critical Access Hospital with 6 ICU beds, 4 OB beds, plus 15 Med/Surg beds. Our main hospital is three years old. Additionally it has an Observation Unit with beds for less than 24 hour stays. Compensation & Benefits: The work week is 4 X 10 or 5 X 8 depending on the specialty. Call is dependent on the specialty but usually 1 in 3 (or 10 days / month). We allow 4 weeks of vacation. There are 9 paid holidays. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance is covered. Malpractice insurance is paid by the Hospital also. Short and Long term Disability insurance is offered. There is a 401K with up to a 4% match offered and is fully vested in 5 years. Access to a 457 (b) plan CME is 5 days paid to attend plus up to $2500 for reimbursement. Student loan repayment is available. Community Information: Located in the desert foothills and about 12 to 15 degrees cooler than Phoenix, the region served by the Medical Center is a 65 mile radius which includes the towns and cities of Globe, Miami, Claypool, San Carlos, Superior, Kearny, Hayden, Winkleman, Tonto Basin, Roosevelt, and Young. These communities border Arizona's magnificent Tonto National Forest and are surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountain vistas in the Southwest. The mining and ranching industries are still a major factor in the economy of each of these communities. It is also within a 20 minute drive of Roosevelt Lake, the largest lake in Arizona where you can enjoy boating, skiing, sailing and fishing 30 minute drive to 7,000 feet up in the beautiful Pinal Mountains. The hospital is also within a 90 minute drive to Phoenix, Arizona's capital, and Tucson to the south. 75 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on the US 60. We are 25 miles from Roosevelt Lake - the largest lake in Arizona. There are lots of trails for hiking, hunting, camping, and biking. Snow skiing is only 90 minutes away.
