Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days 06:00-18:30, Monday-Friday, standby required weeknights/weekends/holidays Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of current OR experience License: Required for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - EMR experience - Ability to circulate (scrubbing is a plus) - Not a first-time traveler Job Description: - 9 OR suites accommodate a variety of cases, primarily 70% outpatient - Handle approximately 40 cases per day with a 20% daily add-on rate - Heavy focus on Ortho, General Surgery, Gyn, Robotics, and Uncomplicated ENT - Outpatient cases include ENT, Hernia, and Gyn with Outpatient Pediatrics focusing on tubes and tonsils - No Cardiac/Vascular cases; C-Sections are handled in L&D - Weekend requirement includes 15-20 cases on Saturdays - On-call duty: 5-6 shifts in a 6-week period - Charge Nurse oversight covering OR, PACU, PreOp, and Endo - Coordination with CSTs and Sterile Processing Techs, both requiring BLS - Staffing includes 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy - Variety of shifts (8, 10, and 12 hours) with high demand for night shifts - Floor-specific orientation provided over 3 days - Utilizes Cerner charting system - Scrub color provided
