Explore your future and launch your career today.Responsibilities:Performs technical planning; system test, verification, and validation; cost and risk analysis; and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detail trade studies to translate customer requirements into actionable solutions.Leads multidisciplinary team in anomaly investigation and resolution activities.Maintains detailed knowledge of current spacecraft configuration and coordinates with subsystem experts to maintain space vehicle health and enhance mission utility.AZSpace Basic Qualifications a Principal Engineer Systems:Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline and 5+ years of related experience, or 3+ years with a Masters; 0 years with a PhDTechnical experience in systems engineeringActive or current Top Secret/SCI clearanceU.S. citizen Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer Systems:Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline and 9+ years of related experience, or 7+ years with a Masters; 4+ years with a PhDTechnical experience in systems engineeringActive or current Top Secret/SCI clearanceU.S. citizen Preferred Qualifications:Experience with various technical analysis tools such as MATLAB and STKExperience with various coding languages such as Perl and C++Experience with Mission Operations for spacecraftExperience in any of the following areas is a plus: orbital mechanics, spacecraft attitude control, power systems and modeling, avionics or digital electronics design, risk analysis, communications, rocket propulsion, thermal engineering, or spacecraft integration and testingNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
