Position Summary:

Dedicated Financial Advisors focus on deepening and growing an existing book of Morgan Stanley relationships. All client interactions are phone-based, complemented by digital touchpoints. Your primary focus is to help clients establish a strong foundation that will ultimately position them to reach their financial goals. This is achieved through accessing the intellectual capital of the firm, including some of the best investment research in the industry. You will be empowered to confidently navigate complex market conditions, implement tailored wealth plans and recommend suitable investment products.

Our Dedicated Financial Advisors are self-motivated, independent thinkers who share a common desire to build long-term client relationships. Your ability to achieve success as a Dedicated Advisor is supported by the Morgan Stanley brand, leadership, and marketing support.

Our Dedicated Financial Advisors are assigned a book of business consisting of high value clients. You will deepen relationships by providing investment advice primarily through phone interactions. Additionally, you will grow the book of business through proactive calls to prospects and referrals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Retain and grow assets of assigned households by effectively managing an assigned book of business and ensuring that all clients receive an outstanding client experience.
  • Partner with clients to analyze and evaluate their financial situation, identify investment objectives, and make investment recommendations through a customized financial planning process.
  • Provide advice on a variety of investment solutions, including the advantages and disadvantages of various product offerings based on the client's individual needs.
  • Cultivate current and prospective client relationships and identify opportunities to expand these relationships by responding to client needs with creativity and innovation.
  • Conduct client portfolio reviews and propose value-added solutions to client needs.
  • Recognize and mitigate risk, including obtaining a thorough understanding of and adherence to all policies and procedures. Uphold requirements of the Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Ability to thrive in an energizing environment of client contact where inbound and outbound telephone calls are the primary communication tool
  • Maintain and update client profiles, including adding detailed, accurate notes
  • Additional duties as directed by management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proactive, successful financial advisory experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of brokerage/banking products and services, including professionally managed solutions, mutual funds and ETF's.
  • Proven history of success in developing, retaining and expanding client relationships.
  • Capable of quickly building rapport with clients, analyzing their needs and recommending compelling solutions that are appropriate for the client's needs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Active Series 7 & Series 66 (or 63 & 65)
  • Active Life & Health Insurance license or must be obtained within 60 days of hire date
  • CFP required
