Since 1987, the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) has set the standard in certification, continuing education, solutions and tools for health and fitness, sports performance and sports medicine professionals. NASM has pioneered evidence-based health and fitness solutions that optimize physical performance and allow individuals to achieve a variety of fitness activity goals.

We are seeking an International Sales Executive to join our rapidly growing sales team. This role will focus on driving outside sales for the International Channel as well as develop new business in strategic territories. The International Sales Executive is responsible for building and securing a robust sales pipeline by identifying opportunities to secure new International Partners using industry experiences/know-how, networking, business development tactics, and other best practices. This position is responsible for forecasting, targeting, lead generation, and acquisition of new international partners. After uncovering prospect and market needs, the IBC will then recommend and drive forward solutions that are relevant and appropriate to all stakeholders; adding incremental revenue to the channel.

This position is open to being fully remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Develop new business in strategic territories
  • Development and execution of strategic plans to target and acquire new accounts in assigned territory; utilizing industry and global reports to drive decision making
  • Research, target and position partnership that match ideal partner profile, thereby driving life time account value for the international channel. Contract negotiation and execution required.
  • Forecast sales and develop creative strategies for lead generation and pipeline development
  • Effectively transition new accounts to International Account Manager(s) after contract execution for ongoing support

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3-5+ years of International and/or B2B sales experience
  • Ability and proven track record of sales production, client management and performance success

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven sales experience and high performer
  • Strong strategic planning and development experience
  • Pipeline development and revenue forecasting
  • Technical expertise of academic industry requirements and trends
  • Technical expertise on NASM and AFAA products
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Contract negotiation
  • Proven business relationship building skills and track record of proficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail and effective record-keeping
  • Ability to access and use CRM Dynamics, Google online assets (e.g. Docs and Sheets) and general Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).

Other Requirements (Travel, shifts, physical demands, etc.):

  • This position will include travel to prospective and current clients, as well as industry events.
