The Chief of Staff (CoS) role performs a wide range of project and leadership duties on behalf of senior leaders in the organization, as a second-in-command or operating leader. Coordinates culture, plans initiatives, manages project/initiative work teams on a day-to-day basis, sets and organizes agendas, maintains compliance with internal firm standards, and communicates to key stakeholders and executive leadership regarding projects/initiatives.
Work you'll do
As the Chief of Staff (CoS), you will provide day-to-day support to the Rewards, Recognition & Well-being (RR&WB) leader in all areas of responsibilities. This role will operate as an extension of and leverage to the RR&WB leader and will have significant responsibilities in supporting the execution of the RR&WB priorities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Works closely with Executive leaders to facilitate execution of key projects and initiatives. Provides strategic, analytical and project management support, and keeps leadership abreast of noteworthy events, milestones and issues in their area of responsibility.
Provides support and oversight to major projects/initiatives. Organizes teams and integration of all appropriate channels and sub-channels involved in execution and delivery of projects/initiatives. Manages against budget, talent and timeline goals.
Leads end-to-end initiatives including gathering business requirements, creating strategy, designing solution components, and implementing solutions.
Ensures the timely communication and flow of information among leadership and key stakeholders for projects/initiatives. Serve as a conduit and contact point so key objectives are communicated clearly and can be met.
Maintains lists of Executive Team priority action items, and monitors progress on action items. Oversees and executes other significant strategic responsibilities: develops and maintains team master calendars, prepares materials for and facilitates meetings, responds as appropriate to inquiries from various leadership groups.
Contributes to and oversees the development of internal communications (including emails/voicemails, newsletters, presentations, speaking notes, etc.) to relay key messages or ask for participation/execution on activities.
Responsible for leading and implementing complex, firm-wide initiatives.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
The team
The Rewards, Recognition & Well-being team collaborates with the Deloitte businesses, enabling areas and other areas within the Talent channel to execute the RR&WB mission and strategy; architect and implement the design and delivery of the workforce plans, programs, and policies that align to the strategy; design compelling engagement approaches including digital experiences; monitor workforce preferences and engagement with the RR&WB offerings; select, implement, and govern third-party vendor relationships necessary to the strategy; and advise business leaders on change considerations to RR&WB strategy, plans, programs, policies and processes based on business, workforce, and competitive market conditions.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees a plus
Minimum 10 years of related experience
In-depth knowledge and experience with the Deloitte Talent channel and human resources in general
Works well in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment
Strong consultative skills, project management/delivery and upward management skills for working with senior leaders
Excellent prepared and extemporaneous presentation skills
Strategic thinker, creative problem-solver
Strong written/verbal executive communication skills; strong listening, facilitation and influencing skills with audiences of all management and leadership levels
Must be able to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas
Superior time management/organizational skills including appropriate sense of urgency and proactive approach
Expert problem solver. Leverages knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
Extensive experience advising and coaching leaders and key stakeholders on strategic, organizational, and communications matters
Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Knowledge about the professional services industry; Deloitte experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86425-159165.
