Job Description:

Our Family Support Services department is seeking a Community Development/Outreach Specialist to coordinate home visitation referrals and outreach to parents of young children for home visitation programs throughout Maricopa County. This role will work closely with the Program Manager to build and maintain an alliance of family support/home visitation providers for expecting parents and families with children ages birth to five.
Primary Duties:

• 
  
• Conduct phone screens with families
  
• Make referrals to home visitation programs and community resources
  
• Maintain information in a database and generate reports to partners and funders
  
• Follow up with families and community programs regarding services
  
• Keep detailed records of phone interactions with families
  
• Plan and staff community outreach activities to recruit families for home visitation services in Maricopa County
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Associate's degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related specialized field.
    
  • Experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with human service providers.
    
    
    • 
      
    • Experience working in the areas of community outreach / marketing - to include experience with public presenting (large & small groups) and developing and maintaining social media accounts.
      
      
      • 
        
      • Knowledge of child development, parenting education and community resources
        
      • Strong communication and writing skills
        
        
        • 
          
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows
          
        • Previous home visitation experience and/or close engagement with local home visitation or family support services is preferred.
          
        • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card preferred OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
          
        • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license in good standing, and proof of current auto insurance is required.
