Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:Provide Tier 2 escalated network supportPerform fault management and problem resolution in a highly complex, mission critical networkenvironmentWork closely with other departments to ensure problem resolution and minimize time to restoralProvide a high level of critical thinking in driving successful resolution of high-impact, complex,cross-functional problemsNetwork change management: support modifications, maintenance to complex network systemsPerform software and hardware upgrades to maintain the high performance requirements of theenvironmentLead implementation of new systems into production networkPerform capacity planning and management of Cisco LAN and WAN backbone connectionsSeek out and suggest opportunities for improvement, including changes in technologies andproceduresCreate and support network management objectives, policies and procedures.Ability to train and assist junior engineers.Ensure that network documentation is kept up-to-date.#LI-EC1

Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Basic Requirements:Education - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalentExperience - 3+ years of progressively related experienceCCNP certification or equivalent knowledge and experienceMust be able to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotationRequires proficiency with Layer 3 routing and switching technologiesMust have advanced functional knowledge of the following technologies: BGP, OSPF,Must have hands-on experience with and working knowledge of the following equipment: CiscoCatalyst (7600s, 6500s, 3800, 9300), ASRStrong knowledge of data security and firewallsMust have excellent communication skills, effectively interact with management, vendors andcustomers and should be able to effectively communicate complex issues in a clearstraightforward mannerAbility to apply advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems are essentialWorks effectively with cross-functional teams and must be flexible enough to deal with differenttechnical skill levels and skill setsAbility to deal with concurrent problems and issues effectively. Proven ability to work in a dynamicand high-pressure environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Cisco and Juniper Network equipments and environmentsExperience with CLOS Architecture and Cisco ACIExperience with Checkpoint FirewallsExperience with F5 load balancersProficiency with IOS XR, Fabricpath, JUNOSKnowledge of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standardsAbility to absorb information and learn new technology/concepts quickly
