Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist [Level 2] or Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist [Level 3] to join our Tactical Space Division's Global Supply Chain team. The position is available to fill in either our Gilbert, AZ or Dulles, VA locations. Initially during training, the individual will on-site. But as the individual demonstrates knowledge of roles, tasks, and tools, a transition to a partial or full remote work environment may be accommodated if compliant with corporate rules.

More about the job:

  • Assignment to Science & Environmental, Weather (S&EW) team working programs for various Government and Commercial customers for Material procurements totaling upwards of $100-$200 million
  • Working with senior Supply Chain Planners to define, develop, and execute material procurement strategies based upon program-defined requirements and schedules (i.e., Analyze material and lead times, and identify critical path procurements).
  • Evaluate Supply Chain planning, progress, or issues utilizing metrics (e.g., On Time to Place, Purchase Requisition Award status, Supporting/Non-Supporting Purchases, etc.) and reporting performance to senior Supply Chain Planners and Supply Chain management staff
  • Responsible to assess supply resources; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements; plan inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
  • Support evaluation of Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements to build required inventory levels. This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

    Basic Qualifications (Level 2):
    • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with 3 years minimum of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 1+ years of related professional experienceBasic Qualifications (Level 3):
      • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with 6 years minimum of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 4+ years of related professional experience Preferred Qualifications for both levels
        • Previous Supply Chain experience in an aerospace and/or defense company will be considered as a positive discriminator.
        • Experience with Costpoint or similar Enterprise Resource Planning system

          Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
          Salary Range 2: $72,400 USD - $108,600 USD

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
