Currently we support a multi-specialty practice of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and OB/GYN along with Onsight x-ray and Sonora Quest lab. We are looking for a Practical Radiologic Tech/MA who is energetic, friendly with people, and the willingness to learn, take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment. Our team works with all ages of patients ranging from newborns to the elderly within our community. In this position, you would be working for an large multispecialty clinic consist of 14 different providers across Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Peds. The Practical Radiologic Tech will be responsible for performing the setup, acquisition and processing of prescribed chest and extremity radiographic procedure. Educating patient regarding the procedure being performed, Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with established departmental / facility policies and procedures., and cover for both family medicine and pediatrics as needed. Our PTR also assist in MA duties in the front and back office. We are looking forward to having you join our team. Working hours would be 5/8 shifts and 1 Saturday shift 8a-1p every 5 weeks. MUST HAVE PRACTICAL RAD TECH CERT, AND MA CERT MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE IF NOT ALREADY OBTAINED. BLS card is required at time of hire. Location: 155 E Warner Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296 This is an extended hours clinic. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.CORE FUNCTIONS1. Performs the setup and acquisition of prescribed chest and extremity radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures. Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.2. Performs the processing of prescribed chest and extremity diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.3. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures. Ability to trouble-shoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.4. Ensures the efficient operation and workflow of the department by scheduling and re-evaluating workflow throughout the day. Ensures exam rooms are stocked, performing room set-up, establishing patient transport, and schedule coordination with multi-disciplinary team members.5. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures. Adheres to safety policies.6. Independently performs prescribed chest and extremity radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.Requires Practical Radiologic Technologist or Limited Scope Technologist licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification.This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve basic problems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional related education and/or experience preferred.
