As a DSP, you will provide personalized support tailored to the specific needs of each member, whether it’s through habilitation, attendant care, or respite services. You will assist clients in developing vital life skills, help with personal care tasks, and/or offer companionship during community outings. No two days are the same as you use your trained skills in various home and community settings, ensuring that each individual receives the compassionate care they deserve. Are you a good fit for this Direct Support Provider / Caregiver job? To excel as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Wee Care Corp, you must embody a unique blend of skills and qualifications. A strong motivation to make a positive impact in the lives of others is essential, as you will support individuals in reaching their full potential. You'll need to possess or be able to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance to ensure the safety of those you care for. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license will be critical for your role, as you may transport clients to various activities. A flexible schedule is necessary, primarily available after school, during evenings, and on weekends. Essential certifications, including CPR and First Aid, along with Article 9 and an Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate, are part of the training required. Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred, and the ability to promote self-esteem and advocate for our members will help you succeed in this compassionate role.
